(SPRING)

Small Fry (Pre-K through 1st Grade)

Instructional program for boys and girls that teaches the basic skills of hitting and fielding within a “game” setting. It is “coach pitch” where everyone gets up to bat and everyone swings until they hit. We do not keep score. The season is from April through June and “games” take place once a week on either Saturdays or Sundays. Registration fee does not include uniform, which must be purchased separately.

Explorer (2nd Grade)

This program is still instructional and it is still “coach pitch”, but certain rules are introduced throughout the season (like striking out and getting someone out in the field). Still no score is kept. Games are held once or twice per week on weekday evenings and/or weekends. The season is from April through June. Registration fee does not include uniform, which must be purchased separately.

Little League (Boys 3rd through 8th Grades)

Boys are divided into teams by age (3rd-4th grades, 5th-6th grades, and 7th-8th grades). Instruction continues at this level, but it is within a competitive league with teams playing other parishes in Bay Ridge. Games are weekday evenings and weekends from April through June (practices may begin earlier). The registration fee does not include uniforms, which must be purchased separately.

Softball (Girls 2nd through 8th Grades)

Girls are divided into teams by age (2nd-3rd grades, 4th-5th-6th grades, and 7th-8th grades). Instruction continues at this level, but it is within a competitive league. Teams will play other parishes in Bay Ridge. Games are weekday evenings and weekends from April through June (practices may begin earlier). The registration fee does not include uniforms, which must be purchased separately.
